The Film That Started It All
Chris had never made a feature film before. With no traditional film school education and limited industry experience, he taught himself the filmmaking process, from screenwriting and directing to producing and bringing an entire feature-length production to life.
Some thought he was crazy. Others thought he was completely out of his depth. In 2010, with the support of a passionate group of filmmakers and industry professionals, Slaughter FX completed its first feature film: Come And Get Me.
The independent horror thriller secured distribution in the United States through Camp Motion Pictures, while Slaughter FX handled its Australian release. For a small horror business that had started out selling vampire teeth and severed fingers, it was a pretty remarkable achievement. And it was only the beginning.
Mummy's Little Girl: Bringing Back The Barbed Wire
Fourteen years after Daddy's Little Girl, Chris is returning to revenge horror with Mummy's Little Girl, starring Simone Buchanan and John Jarratt, with Steve Boyle and Formation Effects on practical FX.
There's no studio behind it. The film is being made with the support of horror fans.
