Played by: Allira Jaques: About Gemma Who are you? Gemma What is your educational background? Received her HSC and gained entry to University to study Event Management. Write a brief history of your life up to this point? Gemma was born and bred in Buderim, living with both her parents, who were very loving and supportive. She grew up with 2 brothers, her being the youngest, and the three of them were very sheltered, not spoilt, but assisted. She is very family-orientated, and is very supported and protected by her 2 older brothers. Gemma started modeling when she was 10, and still does little gigs here and there. She never made it big in the modeling industry, but still loves it as a hobby. When she went to high school, she was a good student, but still loved to have a chat and get up to a bit of mischief. During high school she met and made very strong friendships with 3 girls, Leah, Susan and Michelle. Because she has never had a sister, she loves to spend a lot of time with them. The four of them still remain best friends until this day! After Gemma finished high school, she received her UAI and started studying Event Management. Because of her love of modelling, she would love to organise major fashion events around the world. While at Uni, she obtained a position in a bar to help her financially. She has been working there for a year and also met her current boyfriend Rick while working one night. Gemma and Rick have been together for around 3 years and currently live together in their flat at Coolum. She never really complains about housework or sharing the chores, she actually enjoys being domesticated and spoiling her man. Rick is employed as a plasterer and is known to be a general Aussie bloke, who loves a beer with his mates at the local pub. Gemma would never be unfaithful to Rick and admires his witty charm. Gemma and Rick are very similar in that they enjoy the simple side of life and don’t like to complicate things. They are very happy together as they are and would only do what makes them happy. Gemma really strives to balance her lifestyle with her friends, Rick, Uni and modelling, trying to make everyone, and herself, happy. She would never be the one to fight with her friends, she is always the one trying to break up the fights. One of her favourite things to do, other than hanging with Rick is to enjoy a drink with her 3 best friends. She would never pass up a night out with them, drinking and dancing the night away!! Always actively doing something, laughing and having a good time in life is what her life motto is about! How do you describe yourself? Funny, love a laugh, spontaneous, can make friends easily, very loving, adores family and friends, very loyal. How do others describe you? Out-going personality, bubbly, funny, sweet, bit of walk-over, gullible, naïve but very lovable.
